The Forest Industry Association of Manitoba is working for a green and prosperous Manitoba. We’ve represented Manitoba’s forest industry for many years, promoting the vital role forestry can play in our province’s future.
As the Manitoba forest industry’s unified voice, FIAM works with the provincial government to set strong regulations that protect our forests. We help the general public understand how our industry strengthens their communities as well as share the tremendous differences between the industry of decades past and the modern, sustainable forestry operations of today.
Our member organizations and their teams are in tune with the nature around them. They love their communities, are passionate about what they do, and want to see a thriving industry. FIAM works every day to keep support these organizations and let people everywhere know that there is room for growth in Manitoba forestry.
Certification plays a significant role. These are third party standards, endorsed by international bodies, and are independently audited. SFI, PEFC, FSC all have important roles in the forest marketplace, and in forest management.
